We are thrilled to welcome Maria Nailevu as Pacific Sexual & Gender Diversity Network’s (PSGDN) new Program Manager.
Maria brings 15 years of experience in gender justice, feminist media, climate and reproductive justice, and grassroots movement building, supported by academic qualifications in business management, youth work, and a postgraduate certificate in gender studies.
In her role, Maria will focus on strengthening PSGDN’s network by building the capacity of our national member organisations in grant and proposal writing, reporting, and related skills. She will also lead PSGDN’s fundraising efforts, including exploring diverse funding opportunities to support sustainable LGBTQI community organisations across the Pacific.
Maria’s extensive leadership experience includes co-leading femLINKpacific, driving Pacific SRHR advocacy with IPPF, and serving in global roles such as ILGA board member and program chairwoman of the Pacific Human Rights Conference.
Her work is firmly rooted in feminist methodologies, localisation, and decolonisation approaches.
We are excited to have Maria join us as we continue advancing advocacy, capacity building, and resource mobilisation across our 14 Pacific member countries.
Please join us in welcoming Maria to this new leadership role.
